Finance covers budgets, cash flow, cost reports and tax planning.

Where [Billing](/billing) handles revenue from payers, Finance handles everything else your agency
spends, owes, and reports.

  Several records exist in more than one place because more than one team needs them. Vendor
  business associate agreements appear here and under HIPAA compliance; insurance policies appear
  here and under corporate records. They are the same records, not duplicates.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem                                          | What to check                                                                                                                        |

| Finance is missing from my sidebar               | Finance is limited to Organization Admins and Finance Managers. See [Roles and permissions](/getting-started/roles-and-permissions). |
| A vendor is missing                              | Check your active organization. Vendors are organization-scoped.                                                                     |
| Payroll figures disagree with the Payroll module | [Payroll](/payroll) manages pay schedules; Finance holds the resulting registers. Confirm you are comparing the same period.         |
| Cost report data looks incomplete                | Cost reports draw on a full fiscal year. Confirm the year and status.                                                                |
