Switch Organization changes your active organization context. Every authenticated user can use it, though it only matters if you belong to more than one organization.

Why it matters

OfficeRidge scopes everything to one organization at a time. Your active organization decides which members, employees, claims, and documents you see — everywhere in the application.
Switching organization changes what you are looking at, not what you are allowed to do. Your role may differ between organizations, so a module you use daily in one may be hidden in another.

Switching

1

Open Switch Organization

From the Account section of the sidebar.
2

Choose the organization

Your view refreshes to that organization’s records.
3

Confirm your active location

Location context is per organization. Check it after switching. See Location settings.
4

Verify you are in the right place before making changes

Especially before creating records.
Confirm your active organization before creating or editing records. A member added to the wrong organization has to be recreated in the right one, and the misplaced record cannot simply be deleted because clinical data is retained.

Context is two levels deep

Both need to be right. A correct organization with the wrong active location still shows you the wrong list.

When something is missing

Wrong context is the most common cause of an apparently missing record. Check in this order:
1

Active organization

Is it the one that holds the record?
2

Active location

Is it the location the record belongs to?
3

Filters on the tab

Status filters commonly exclude discharged or inactive records.
4

Your role

Troubleshooting

Location settings
