These tabs track what your staff have been taught, what they have been assessed on, and how they are performing.

Training

Training records with completion status, scores, and CEU credit tracking. Columns: Employee · Type · Name · Completed · Status · Score · CEU CEU records continuing education credit, which several licence types require for renewal. Keep it populated or you will be reconstructing it at renewal time.

New Hire Orientations

Onboarding checklists for new employees with ID verification and training milestones. Columns: Employee · Hire Date · Checked · ID Status · Acknowledged · Sent
Sent is not Acknowledged. Issuing orientation materials does not evidence that the employee received and accepted them. Surveyors look for the acknowledgement.

Competency Assessments

Employee competency assessments with scoring, levels, and reassessment scheduling. Columns: Employee · Category · Status · Level · Score · Date · Reassess Reassess drives the reassessment cycle. A competency assessed once at hire and never revisited does not demonstrate ongoing competence.

Performance Evaluations

Employee performance reviews with ratings across multiple competency areas. Columns: Employee · Job Title · Evaluation Date · Status Performance evaluation is distinct from competency assessment: competency asks whether someone can perform a task correctly, performance asks how they are doing in the role overall.

Onboarding a new hire

1

Create the orientation record

Start it from the employee’s hire date.
2

Verify identity

Set ID Status once identity documents are checked.
3

Issue and confirm materials

Mark Sent when materials go out, and Acknowledged when the employee confirms receipt.
4

Complete the checklist

Set Checked once every onboarding item is done.
5

Run the initial competency assessment

Record category, level, and score, then set Reassess.

Keeping training current

1

Filter competency on Reassess

Anyone past their reassessment date needs scheduling.
2

Check CEU totals against licence requirements

Do this well before credential expiry, not at renewal.
3

Run performance evaluations on schedule

Track them by Evaluation Date and Status.
Training, competency, and credential expiry all run on separate cycles. A recurring rule per cycle in Task Manager is more reliable than one combined reminder.
